Dear
All,
CGIAR &
FAO staff worldwide have been granted free trial access through to 31 December,
to two important electronic collections:
1) Over 800
Blackwell journals in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Sciences, Agriculture and
Aquaculture, Economics, Finance and Accounting, Computing and Technology, Health
Sciences, Law and Criminology, Life Sciences, Statistics, Medicine, Social and
Behavioral Sciences and other related subjects. http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/
2) Over 100
Emerald journals, the world's largest, most comprehensive collection (more than
50,000 full text articles) of peer-reviewed management articles and resources in
the management field. http://xtra.emeraldinsight.com
FAO and the
CGIAR Centres also have free trial access to SCOPUS for one
month! http://www.scopus.com/scopus/home.url
Scopus is one of the largest
abstract and citation databases of research literature and quality web sources,
providing seamless links to full-text articles and other library resources,
providing innovative tools that give an at-a-glance overview of search results
and refine them to the most relevant hits. The Scopus Citation Tracker
enables researchers to easily evaluate research using citation data to gain
intelligence about articles, authors, their own published work and research
trends.
We invite you
to try these resources and send your feedback on which ones you find useful to
icraflibrary@cgiar.org
Thanks
